My period is 3 weeks late, but all the tests have been negative so far

I was due to get my period on August 20.  My cycles have always been regular with a normal flow.  My period never came so I tested at home.  Nothing....Six tests later still nothing.  I don't feel under stress and nothing has changed that I can think of.   I have had some symptoms such as sore breasts and fatigue.  I did have some light spotting and cramping, but from what I have read that could have been when implantation occured.  BTW I am on orthotricyclen.  I just went for a urine test at my doctors and it still said negative.  They have told me to wait another 2 weeks and test again, but by then my period should be here again.  What's the longest that it would take for HcG to show up on a urine test?  Any advice what I should do other than waiting.
Thanks!

A HPT is typically accurate about 14 days after conception.  A blood test is a more sensitive test for pregnancy that you could consider.

somtimes we can skip a period for no reason at all, even if you are normaly regular.ask your doctor to do a blood test, hel take a blood sample and then another 2 or 3 days later to see if the levels have increased.as far as i know, there is no mistake with the blood tests,it will tell if you are pregnant or not.hope this helps good luck xx
