I have heard of chemical pregnancies basically where ur body has the hcg but not the fetus. I'm sry to hear your story and hope the best for you I'm goin through a weird situation right now and hoping I find an answer soon and I hope u do to. Good luck I don't know you but I will def pray for you to get the answer you are hoping for
I wouldn't worry too much especially since you don't know when your last period was. Normally it takes 5.5-6 weeks for anything to show up.
Give it a few weeks. That's still early to see anything more than a sac in the ultrasound. If you don't see anything in a few weeks, then I'd be concerned. Don't give up hope!
im going threw alot of frustration as well i have had many sonos i found i was pregant on oct 26th my lmp was sept 21 on or about i conceived oct 12th i would be about 9 weeks but when i had sono first time nothin showing i also was devestated this is my 2nd child but 10 yrs later because i had same issues getting pregnant so this was a blessing even though i just turned 43 eek so i was told not a progressing pregnancy so i was distraught but dr sent me to get blood work to check levels well levels were ok going up somewhat so i had to have another sono about a week later the tech so a little sac estimated i was about 4 in half mnths wich was confusing but i had hope there was a sac but dr didnt think so so i wnent again for blood work again levels somewhat going up but progesterone went down so i was put on a supplemnt to help so i had anohther sono on tues a long 2 weeks and tech again had hard time finding sac vaginally finally seen a little sometthing and said i was 5 in half weeks measured and 5 in half and last time was about 4 so was growing but she seen no heartbeat so she did a pelvic sono and seen sac but said nothing in it and no heart beat i was devestated she also called it a bligton ovum but she was not going to have me give up because may be to soon ok so i had blood work again yesturday my levels still going up but not as well as expected but going up so i have another sono tuesday and see what happens im just hanging on to hope at this point and what will be will be so u are not alone dont give up and i will pray for you as well good luck and keep posting
Don't worry too much because 4-6weeks is still early most people won't pick up a heartbeat till 8 or 9 weeks just wait and see and keep ur hopes high!! Good luck and congratulations!!
I really dont want to make you stress more but my LMP was Oct 13 which means i am 7 weeks pregnant... have they ran blood work to check you hCG levels? Have they looked into ectopic? Im sorry your going thru this and i really hope your next appointment goes better...
all i could see at five weeks was a sac the technician thought it was empty but she was very very wrong. we saw not only a baby but a heartbeat lesa than three weeks later. good luck!
I would say dont panic yet, if you are around 4-6 weeks you wont see a baby usually, it develops around week 6 and is the size of a grain of rice, sometimes the heartbeat is seen then sometimes not until 2 wks later, it depends on alot of things, the age of the u/s equipment, skill of sonographer etc and that early in a pregnancy a vaginal u/s should have been performed as well as the abdominal one, alot can change in a couple of days this early in pregnancy as everything is developing fast, your hcg levels should have been checked as well
They took blood. The equipment did look a bit out dated. Ugh I don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to give up. Ice waited 12 years to be a mom!
Your HCG levels would be helpful. You would need the levels to double every 2 days. You can check the ranges out at American Pregnancy Association website.
When I was 6 weeks pg (knew the exact time frame since we did IUI) and at first the RE didn't see a baby. I had to go empty my bladder and then finally my baby was seen. It if very hard to see a fetus so early.
Some women won't even go for a sonogram until around 9 weeks since nothing could show up even if there is fetus there before 9 weeks.
I would ask to have your HCG levels checked to see if the levels are climbing. In early pg, that is really helpful to know to see if the pg is progressing.
Also did they do an ultrasound (top of belly area) or a sonogram (inserted vaginally)? The sonogram would show more than the ultrasound.
At that many weeks they didn't see a baby in me the only saw the sack
only saw an empty sac at 5 weeks had to go back two weeks later and their my beanie was with heartbeat, dont give up hope :) x
There is nothing more you can do except take really good care of yourself, eat right, take your vitamins, & rest. And know that there is absolutely nothing you can do differently if this turns out to not be a viable pregnancy. Don't give up hope. :-) Even if you do get a good outcome from you next scan, you have a long 9 month wait ahead. Sending positive thoughts your way!!
