Pepto Bismol?

Is it ok to take pepto bismol for heartburn while pregnant? I don't have any tums :(

They say use caution before 20 weeks but don't take after 20 weeks because of the Bismuth subsalicylate that's in it, a substitute could be Imodium! I found this on a website that's updated regularly for pregnant women! But again, ask your doctor first! (:

I think my dr meant it as more of a "last resort" type thing.

Oh, my doctor gave me a list of meds to absolutely not take and it was on there/: I guess it depends on the doctor!(: consult your doctor and maybe they'll have an idea for ya then!

My dr said it's ok to take here and there but not everyday. My baby is perfectly fine.

I just confirmed that it's recommended you don't take it while pregnant.

I've heard pickle juice, but I can't drink it, the smell of pickles and the taste make me nauseous. :(

Pepto is fine. I've heard pickle juice works too. You can also try zantac 150.

And sleep with your head propped way up! I've struggled with gerd my whole life and that's the only thing that helps me
