STD???? Or urine infection.
Well ladies i went to my ante natal on thursday and because the past few weeks there has been protein in my urine, and the urine samples have been sent to the hospital for testing there was a message on her computer from the hospital asking my midwife to test me for chlymidia, how degrading!!!!. I felt so small when my midwife told me what was happening, just because the samples that have been sent to hospital arnt showing any infection or fungal growth, they think its ok to test me for STD s. I am deffinately no slapper and have never slept around. Me and my partner have been together for 9 years, and the last few days everything as really got on top of me and i keep asking him if he as slept with anyone, i just dont know what to think. My head feels as though its going to explode, and i have to wait untill thursday for the results. I dont want to be ok with him just incase the results come back positive but i dont want to be a meani too. I sort of cringe a bit when he comes close to me. Please give me some advice.
When i had vaginal bleeding at 6 and 13 1/2 weeks i had swabs taken to try and find out what was happening to me i was tested for STD s then and they were a no show. I know they can be harmfull to the baby but what i cant understand is, is why it is taking so long to find out was the cause is when i have had about 20 urine samples sent to the hospital and they keep coming back saying that there is no fungal infection or growth. I have phoned my doctors this morning to make an appointment but she cant see me untill next week the receptionist has asked me to take another urine sample so that it can be sent off again to hospital but more than likely it will come back that there is nothing wrong again. I just wish that it will come back saying that there is something wrong instead of me keep wondering.
Ive never had any reason to believe that my partner would cheat or would be cheating on me now, Its just all of this is putting doubts in my mind. im probbably just worrying over nothing i hope.sorry about the spelling!
I have had no itching with my discharge but my midwife always asks me that question, i would mention this to your doctor. My last pregnancy i was always getting urine infections and itching.Please let me know how you get on.
Kidney problem as been mentioned a couple of times by kennedydp5 and natemomma27, i am going to make an appointment with my doctor and mention this to her and see what she has to say. thanks
Pre eclampsia has not been mentioned to me, i have had no swelling yet this pregnancy, blood pressure has been normal and no vision problems.
I'm not sure what to tell you really on what's going on, but I guess if it makes you feel better, I get back to bad bladder infections ever since I got pregnant.
Before I only got them like once every 3 er 4 months.
But that's cuz I used to have a drinking problem and I ruined my liquids track.
But during pregnancy, you're prone to ALOT of bad stuff that CAN cause infections.
Some get yeast infections.
Some bladder or urinary tract infections. [[I get both]]
Some get kidney infections.
Some get diabetes.
Some get alot of stuff, and the only cure for it is delivery.

i was thinking i might have an infection as well. im almost ten weeks and for the last 3 days ive been itchy with a creamy discharge, no smell. i had a dr visit 3 days ago and my urine had protein in it. should i go back to see the dr or wait till my nxt visit?
protein in your urine can also be a sign of a kidney infection. I would try to stay calm and deal with the results when they come in on Thursday. No use getting into a fight if you don't have anything to back it up with!
Protein in the urine is a marker for pre-eclampsia. Your physician should have told you this and also the other markers to look out for.

i don't remember what it was for now, but i remember being in the hospital for something and them telling me they were testing me for the same thing they are telling you (i think i was there for pain i was having that ended up being a ruptured cyst... after the nurse walked out of the room dh got soooo pissed off b/c he was thinking the same thing you are thinking about (like where would that come from!). but that wasn't it and dh knew that and it in turn made me mad at him!
i don't know if this has anything to do w/ protein in your urine or not, but what about it being bacterial vaginosis? i know that can happen during pregnancy.

Im really trying not to stress but its all i can think about, i dont really have anyone to talk to about it, and i dont want my best friend to know, i just feel dirty, i know i shouldent because i know i havnt done anything wrong. All i have done since thursday is cry
Not sure, i hope i find out soon what is happening. For the last 7 or 8 weeks i have been getting some discharge but its just the normal creamy stuff, i told my midwife about it but she kept saying it was normal. I dont think i can wait untill thursday it seems such a long time away.
i can only imagine what is gowing through your head, but stress isnt going to help the pregnancy! as stressful as it is, TRY to relax and not think about it to much. wrap yourself up in a hobby or activity...focus on ur nursery if you haven't done so already, catch up on some reading...just remember to breath and keep your head up!

when u get pregnant they sometimes do a culture for std's...its sometimes protical (sp) of the office and just another step in establishing your medical record/folder. they did the same thing to me, try not to take it to heart. what was her reason for the test other than they can't really tell what's going on? why an std? you dont have to answer or can send it privately (sp) if you want. what about kidney stones? there are different types of stones, maybe that's an option?
