Scared to death right now

I hope someone out there can give me some feedback on my concern.  My girlfriend is a little over a week without getting her period.  A month and a half ago she switched birth control pills and got on a migrane medication due to having migranes.  Well the migrane medicine states that it could interfere with birth control pills.  We have been togeter for almost 4 years and neve used a condom bc she was on birth control.  We never had a scare about being pregnant until now!  5 days before she was suppossed to get her period this month she was spotting blood. I looked it up and Im scared that it could be because the sperm got fertilized.  Theres a term for it but i forget what it is,  So tomorrow mourning she is taking a pregnancy test,  She said she kinda feels sick in the mourning and at night.  Shes not throwing up but just a little ill.  Im freaking out and worrying myself to death,  Can someone give me some feedback of what might be occuring.  I hope I somewhat made sense to whats going on.  Im just worring and need some imput.  Thanks

Pre-ejaculate does contain some sperm and since it only takes one swimmer conception is definitely possible.

Well I'm glad you're relieved and that she is not pregnant if that isn't what you both wanted. Best of luck!

Yes, it is possible to get pregnant off pre-ejaculation. Because there are usually still some spermys left in the tubes from the time before. But I'm glad you got the results you wanted. I'm sure when you guys do decide to have kids you'll be wonderful parents, you both seem very responsible.

Well shes not pregnant. I feel so relieved.  I wouldnt be upset or anything if she was but it would just be a huge shocker for me.  I know its possible to get pregnant while on birth control but isnt that usually when the guys still ejaculates in her.  I never do that.  Is it still possible that pre ejaculation can still get someone pregnant while on birth control???? Anyways thanks for all your help.

Also, many people conceive when they are switching birth control pills. Its like asking your body to completely switch gears without stopping what its doing. But it could just be the birth control itself. Everybody has different reactions to different things, maybe this one doesn't mesh with her as well. But let us know how the pregnancy test goes.

I agree with Spade22 and want to add that unprotected sex, even while using birth control pills, is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. I know more people who've gotten pregnant while on the Pill than when actively trying to conceive a baby without any birth control.

Good luck!

It could very well be that her body is adjusting to the new BC pills she has switched too - sometimes side-effects like the symptoms you have described can occur for weeks/months.

Of course, pregnancy is an option too if you had unprotected sex (taking a medication that can interfere w/ BC pills is essentially the same as not taking BC pills to begin with).

Sorry that I cant  be of any more help than that.
