Yeast Infection?

Hi All,

I am 5 weeks pregnant and just noticed a yellowish/greenish discharge sometimes when I go to the bathroom. It doesn't itch and really has no odor. I am going to the DR tomorrow, but wanted to ask if anyone else has had this, and if everything was ok? By the way it is not an STD as I have been tested for all before trying to get preggers and have a been with only one person for the last 10 years. Thanks for any feedback!

I had that too yellowish/greenish discharge with no itching or odor. As far as I know it was nothing but I would talk to your doctor tomorrow. I know I did end up having a urinary infection and a yeast infection sometime after seeing the discharge because I never told anybody.

Here's what it says in my pregnancy book:

If the discharge becomes a yellow-green, develops a stronger smell, or your vulva, vagina, and anal region become reddened and painful, particularly when you urinate, tell your prenatal caregivers. They will take some swabs to check for vaginal infection, which left untreated may increase your risk of going into premature labor.

Hope that helps

It very well could be a yeast infection as they are much more common during pregnancy.  All of the OTC medications are safe while pregnant.  I have taken them at all stages of pregnancy.
