back pain relief

I have sooo much back pain... I have tried everything!! I have tried heating pads, tylenol, a belly band my doctor gave me,my husband has given me countless back rubs, and I have basically lived in the bath tub the past 2 weeks... My question us can I use a pain relieving cream on my back, like icy/hot? If not does anyone have any other suggestion to  relieve this pain? I am only getting 2 hours of sleep a night at most, and am in pain all the time... It is really taking a toll on me. By the way I am 35 weeks 3 days

I have had excessive back labor and back pain
With all three of my pregnancies.  All I can recommend is laying with a pillow under your lower  back.  Ive never been given pain meds for my pain they just tell me its part of pregnancy. Sorry ur in pain.

You can always try to call l&d let them know that you called your ob/gyn and never got a call back, let them know also the pain and what you've tryd... not sure about this but my doc also a military doctor put me on a mix of unisom and vitamin b6 for my sickness and ot helps with sleep as i had a fusion done in my lower back 1year ago and still have horrible pain lol... so that may be something to bring up to L&D if unisom is safe for you at 35 + weeks?!? I also takr benadryl for my allergies but i only take one and right befor bed because it makes me sleepy

Yeah I am not a fan but I don't have much of choice. They still only see me 4 weeks for a check up when everyone else gets check ups way more often this far along, and any concern I have I feel like they throw on the back burner... Oh well once again I just have to tell myself just a few more weeks till I have my little man in my arms and I don't have to see them anymore. Well except for birth control.

Nope. My husband is in the military so my ob/gyn is part of the naval hospital and if its after hours you have L&D but thats only if its an emergency.

Ok thank you. The doctors office is closed now, so I will have to call them again in the morning. Hmm I guess another sleepless night, I just keep telling myself I am so close to having him. Just a few more weeks...

I wouldn't, I know my midwife said not to use them. Wait to see what yours says first, or call back and talk to them.

I called my doctors office and they said a nurse would call me back but its now after 4 and I haven't gotten a call. Hopefully they will call tomorrow. Do you think it would be ok to put a pain relieving cream on my back tonight just until I get a call from them tomorrow? Like icy/hot or thera-gesic?
