cramping early pregnancy

Okay, I confirmed my pregnancy on the 6th of May and I am scheduled for an ultrasound on the 27th to confirm if this is a viable pg and exactly how far along I am. By my calculations, I am around 6.5 weeks. I keep getting this cramping, it is kind of like menstrual cramping. Most of the time it is on my left to middle side of my uterus. Is this normal or should I be worried. What if I am ectopic and I wait the two weeks for the u/s, is it possible to have any complications such as the loss of a tube at this point?

I think if an eptopic isn't treated their is a possibility of the loss of a tube, but if you are ever unsure and your pain is bad you should go to the ER.  If they know you are pg then they will do u/s's and blood tests.  But cramping is normal.

Cramping is normal in early pregnancy, but if it gets bad then call your Dr.
