I gotta call again in the morning to get the one who approved my Medicaid to change the county code from one county to the other one if that doesn't work I don't know what to do
Try going to the office yourself or even go to the er n explain ur situation ur 16 wks u should of seen a doc by now!!!!! Sorry ur going threw this
I guess its just the great state of Alabama I live in who knows
My house is like that too but i use multiple doctors for lots of things all over
I can't use the drs from the county my Medicaid is through cause I live in a different county and I can't use the ones where I live cause my Medicaid is through a different county and the county line is right at my house depends where you stand in my yard what county your in I called the dr and can't make an appointment myself it has to be the lady from the family success center
Well I'm screwed no matter where I turn no dr for me
That's good :) Good luck I hope they schedule u soon!
They do I asked when I called looking for the dr that I used for my first pregnancy thank god I found him I didn't wanna use anyone else
U have to make sure that doc office takes Medicaid first cuz some don't
I'm gonna call the dr I wanna use first thing in the morning and see
I honestly don't think that its true. I would try to call another county and see what they say... It may have been a miss understanding
It may be only like this in Alabama but I called the drs office a couple weeks ago and they wouldn't make me an appointment when I told them I had Medicaid so maybe if I don't tell them till I get there it will work
My Medicaid is active the worker I signed up with told me I had to meet with some woman at the family success center and she had to make my drs appointment or Medicaid wouldn't cover my drs visit
Do it online I did and got everything mailed to me and didn't have to wait for a case worker and you get to pick your own doc. All u have to do is call when u get the things in the mail and set up everything then go to whatever doc u want.
Call the doctors office, even if you don't have the card or policy number they can look it up for you, we do it all the time at my office. If it isn't active yet you don't have to pay, they'll bill it and you can just give them your Medicaid number when it becomes active, it covers 90 days retroactive so they'll just resubmit the bill to Medicaid. I've never heard of having to go through DHS to set up an appointment.
Good luck I hope it works out :)
I'm gonna try in the morning
If I were you, id go to the drs office anyways. And if they don't ask for a Co-pay then you might be good
And the bad part is I'm 16 almost 17 weeks and still haven't got this other place to call me back and as far as I know when a receptionist answers a phone they make appointments not transfer you to another person for you to leave a voicemail and wait for them to call you back to make an appointment I'm really fed up with all of this
I have my card from my first pregnancy and they said its the same numbers but my Medicaid worker said that I had to go through this other place to get a dr appointment or Medicaid wouldn't pay for it
Have you gotten your insurance card in the mail yet? If you have, the drs will take it and you won't have to go thru them anymore
I have Molina and i make all of my own appointments
