PUPPPS rash needs to be dried out to heal or if it is a severe case it won't go away until delivery. Your doctor can prescribe you with a antihistamine to help you from itching it (can cause infection if skin is broke) and for at home treatment- stay away from baths. Throughout the day use Witch Hazel rub whenever it starts acting up. During a shower put coconut oil on it and rinse. Right after drying off from shower put Cortisone 10 on it. Cortisone will be the quickest relief if you have a bad night but it's best to put on clean skin. I really hope this helps. I've been dealing with PUPPPS since 16 weeks. 39 weeks now and have managed to keep it under control.
What are your symptoms? Have you got blisters as well or is it just a rash?
Idk if it will help but they make benadryl in a rub on cream now as well. You can get it at any drug store.
I have it just on my arms so far. & thanks ladies, it's very irritating. I'm surprised it hasn't gone away yet, my delivery hospital told me to take benadryl for my headaches so I have been and it hasn't went away.
It helps to take benadryl too. It's actually on the safe list. I get the blotchy face rash sometimes
Ohmyglob yes!! Right under my belly button! It itches all the time and hasn't healed. It hasn't seemed to spread anywhere else but it drives me crazy! At first I thought it was from plucking my happy trail but it got worse
I got a really bad rash with this pregnancy too... but what works for me is the gold bond extra strength body lotion, the one in the green bottle. I was so itchi that I couldn't sleep but with this I'm getting my much needed rest.
I just happen to get a rash on my face on both of my cheeks it's horrible. I just used lotion and it helped.
I had a pup rash when I was pregnant with my first , it's a horrible rash that you only get while you are pregnant. I was miserable! I tried everything possible to relieve it and the only thing that somewhat helped was calamine lotion (it's in a pink bottle) I would cake this stuff on my belly which was where I had it the worse and let a fan blow on my belly! The only thing the doctor told me that would cure the rash was when I delivered my baby. Sure enough after my csection it went away! Just talk with your doctor to make sure it's a normal rash and not the pup rash!
Are you getting a rash anywhere specific? Legs, arms, and belly button are is a sign of PUPPPS. Let me know if these are normal spots for you and I'll get back with you on PUPPPS treatment.
It's very irritating, and I'm gonna try that. thanks
Oh my god yes I thought I had something seriously wrong with me at first.. and I randomly get them inbetween my fingers it's so frustrating. . But I have started using organic coconut oil.. it hydrates my skin and helps with itching
