swollen gums

Is anyone else having this issue? I brush my teeth every day twice a day and I use mouthwash but my top front gums are still swollen and bleed. I'm terrified that I might lose my teeth in the front and can't afford to go to a dentist. Is this just a symptom of pregnancy or should I scape up some money for a dentist?

Its a thing that happens with pregnancy but also you're more likely to get gingivitis during pregnancy so to be safe I'd switch to toothpaste that protects your gums and a multi care mouthwash with fluoride in it

Use toothpaste with extra gum protection. When you're finished do not rinse the toothpaste from your mouth to leave it on your gums. Also buy an extra soft too the brush. I had extreme issues with swollen bleeding gums and ever since I changed I haven't had any issues what so ever

I haven't had this issue until this past week & I'm almost 35wks So I thought it was just me. But now that I know it's a pregnancy thing it eases my mind some.

Thank you ladies. I'm a ftm so any little thing that goes wrong or happens I'm freaking out lol

Try rinsing your mouth out with peroxide as well. I had swollen bleeding gums from 8 weeks until about 16 weeks. It *****, but just keep brushing.

Almost all pregnant women have swollen guns because of the hormone changes...your blood volume also starts to increase during pregnancy...use a soft bristled toothbrush...still brush twice a day, floss everyday, and may want to use a toothpaste with fluoride in it...I got pregnancy dental with my Medicaid
