what exactly does a baby kicking feel like?

For about 3 weeks to a month I've been having this fluttering sensation all around my abdomen. I've gotten all my periods on time except for this month's because I changed birth control pills. However, back in mid-november, I was on the contraceptive patch and I was a day late putting it on. I unintentionally had unprotected sex, the condom broke, but I've taken 15 tests [the last test being in march], all negative and I got my period on time every month since then, with NO changes in bleeding whatsoever. So I put the thought of pregnancy out of my mind Lately though I've been convincing myself that I'm pregnant. I get this whole fluttering sensation throughout my entire abdomen, it starts in the epigastric area-right under my left rib and sporadically occurs in my lower abdominal too. I feel it especially when I'm lying down. My question is, what does kicking feel like? If I was five-six months pregnant, I would have known by now right? I've heard of women getting periods, but I wouldn't have 5 normal ones in a row and still be pregnant right? Is this just paranoia?

I took a month off between switching from the patch to pill and I got a normal period. I also use condoms and I'm 19 years old.

i would think its just plain PErRONiA, i mean you need a positive BETA FIRST of all and From what i heard of Kicking is no fluttering sensation... i have been next to many preg. friends and when their babys kickit  look like its a discomort not to mentions there face gestures  .... these women are right ... you might just have muscle spasms  or gas... much luck to you

Most women don't feel movement until about 16 weeks. It can feel like bubbles, popcorn popping, or like a fish swimming in your belly. It's different for everyone. It can also feel like gas. But if you were pregnant and that far along then a test would definitely be positive by now. And since you have gotten your periods pretty much on time, I would say you are not pregnant. Also, some women do bleed or spot through pregnancy (you can never actually get your period while pregnant though), and it can be normal for this to happen, but sometimes it is not a good sign. You could just have gas? You could always call your doc if you are truly concerned about it. But it doesn't sound like you are pregnant.

You're not pregnant, you've been getting all your periods, have had negative test and if you were feeling a baby kick all the way up by your ribs you would be more like 7 or 8 months pregnant and it wouldn't be flutters, it would be full blown kicks and punches. Even if the flutters were all in your lower abdomen you wouldn't feel the baby move until about 16 weeks at the earliest and if you were that far along you would have gotten a positive HPT and the bleeding would have stopped.
