One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage - it's not really a small chance, it's a pretty significant one. I do not know what percentage of miscarriages are due to blighted ovum and what percentage are due to other factors, though. But there is absolutely nothing you can do to change those risks. All you can do is keep a positive attitude, hope for the best, and stay convinced that absolutely everything is fine. Pregnancy is amazing - no sense spending big chunks of it wondering and worrying about what *could* happen. I've lost my last two pregnancies, one to a blighted ovum and one to a different (unknown) cause, but I am still hopeful that we will be successful next time. Best of luck to you.
