Sounds like early labor. Braxton hicks are usually irregular. You will know if it's the real thing because they will start to come more frequently and last longer than a few seconds and start becoming stronger. Good luck!!!
I had pelvic exam yesterday, my np tried checking my cervix and it was so painful and I was so tight that she couldn't really check my cervix. She said this exam is nothing, labor pain is alot worst than that. She also asked me to practice some breathing techniques
Hopefully breathing techniques can help you cop up with the pain of contractions or early labor
How far along are you? I'm 39 weeks due in six days. Going through the same thing. I'm demanding to get induced though. Cause my asthma is getting out of control, not to MENTION I have a herniated disk in L4L5 that is KILLING ME, on top of that my gallbladder stones that my son keeps kicking... to say the least... I CAN'T take anymore. He's GAINED do much weight in the last three months that I can't BREATH, get out of bed (because of my back) and I need him OUT on the first! He'll be fully baked no need for him to stay any LONGER. ANYWAY my "contractions" are doing the same exact thing. Except I WAS 3cm dilated last time I got checked a week ago.. but they are getting more sharp, and I feel THEM more when I exercise/swim/walk..or if I'm TOO active for the day. But don't want to go to the doctors..Cause I know what they will say.."YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR IN LABOR BECAUSE YOU'RE DYING" ;) HAHAHA SO I'M JUST WAITING TO SEE IF HIS HEAD HANGS OUT to FINALLY go in..LOL ;) JK
When mine came they felt like period cramps, then got stronger and stonger until I couldn't walk. It does sound like you're in the early stages of labor bc my braxton hicks just feel like stomach tightening. Good luck! I hope its the real deal and you get to hold your little one soon!
You will know when their the real thing... Real contractions are very painful and closer together... Believe me asking the question will not come to your mind when they come...
Ok cause I thought braxton hicks was just when your belly tightens and were irregular
You are probably in the early stages of labor. I had son at 12 days until due date lol. When I called up my obgyn she had me come in, told me I was in the early stages of labor and told me to go home, eat something, take a walk and go into the hospital once they are stronger and closer together. So I ran a bunch of last min errands.
Sound like Braxton hicks remember 411 when they are 4 min apart last 1min for 1 hour
