Not sure if that's true cause baby's grow at different rates. I'm sure it's just a general estimate or approximation. Cause my baby is very large already, I'm 35+5 weeks and she's already over 7lbs and about 19 inches long already. I still got 3 more weeks until my c-section so she'll be about 9lbs and long by then!!
Its just a guideline that drs use when measuring the size of your uterus because it grows with baby... its generally accurate and a lot easier than ultrasounds every week. At my 28 week appointment my stomach measured 30cm so they said baby boy had a big growth spurt :-) but nothing to be alarmed about
Yes that's correct. It called your fundal height growth (fancy speak for belly!) From pubic bone to top of your uterus averages a centimeter a week growth. This is much easier to see for yourself after first trimester when you start showing and can go off the visual cues vs feeling around! Its so fun to see how much your growing :)
I think that's what they say your uterus will approximately grow at. But everyone is a little different cause every baby grows at different rates and every women gains weight at different rates and different parts of their pregnancies.
Im 20 weeks baby is 15cm .. if u read on here it tels u the average size eg 20 weeks is 15.2 -16.5cm. But then the app says at 22 weeks its 27cm... how ? Lol
