1600 and No Sign of Baby

I had two positive urine pregnancy test and at my first OB appointment (Thursday) a HCG level of 1600 but no sign of anything by transvaginal ultrasound. My doctor ordered another HCG test today expecting that my levels should have doubled but it was only at a 2932. At this point the doctors are saying its an ectopic pregnancy.. Im afraid, worrying and very sadden.. Has anyone been in this situation and should I be concerned??? Please help

The hardest part is that due to other stresses in my life I dont remember is I had a cycle in February. I did in January. I was told I was a little dehydrated and to drink fluids.  Has anyone heard that there was this range that you could be in and still have a healthy pregnancy? I have another doctors appointment and ultrasound tomorrow. Thank you everyone... Please pray for me.. I so want my baby :(

Yes had an ectopic pregnancy last August. I was 8 weeks & I was given 2 doses of methotrexate. Its a very serious situation bc your tube could rupture. I was very saddened & was told I couldnt have any more babies but im 13 weeks & baby is growing well. Good luck and best wishes. Keep your head up mom

Unfortunately it just may be ectopic. Some are lucky like Naila but in general. The pregnancy needs to be interrupted as a ectopic pregnancy can rupture which is a potentially fatal issue for the mom. (bleed out).

I'm sorry for your situation. Good luck

my first pregnancy was ectopic. when I went to my ob appointment my levels had gone down and the pregnancy terminated on its own. I hope they locate your baby in your uterus otherwise, I would assumeit's ectopic :(
