It's out in the open...
Instead of waiting until Christmas, we went ahead and told the family. My biggest and most feared critic is my mother-in-law. Got some excited for us. Which is good. But, my mother-in-law isn't excited about it. Instead she told us all of the things we need to be doing and not doing. How are we going to afford 3 kids. We're doing just fine. My husband has a great job with great insurance. Just not the response I was hoping to get. So that kinda *****. But at least I can relax now.
Don't let someone being distant keep you from having your baby. You're happy to be pregnant. Which means you'll be even happier when you have your little one. The decision is ultimately up to you. Just be happy and everything will work itself out. I hope things get better for you and I'm sure all will be well.
Told some of my family about my pregnancy.... I was happy to be pregnant again. I just had a miscarriage three months ago to now expecting again. I was excited at first but now the father of my child is distant. IM 8 weeks to day and IM unsure if I want to go on with this.
She's sorta coming around now. She said she was shocked. But, it's fine. I'm still happy we're having a new baby to add to our family :)

This is my forth and we've had a few of the same reactions. You can't wait and put off having the family you want. We're ticking time bombs and if you want children you need to do it at your own pace not someone elses. She's not the one raising them so that makes it not her choice.
Lol mother in laws are crazy creatures. My m.i.l has 5 kids 1 passed away so in total she had 6 but tells us how we should only have 2 children. Dont wry bout ur m.i.l just enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to your happy little family as long as ur mans supporting u. U dont need to stress over an alien .. lol me and my sis in law call my m.i.l a dragon because she looks and acts like a dragon.
I'd tell her flat out its not her life so either be happy or don't.
Couple hours later and she's still not acting happy. She doesn't think we need anymore right now :/
