Hahahha. There's one week where I gains 4 pounds! I ate out a LOT that week and it was just a crazy amount of weight gain but its not normal so I told them I'll lay off the fries and they just laughed. Its not a big deal.

Are you considered over weight?  I know if you're not over weight they suggest up to 32lbs right? If you're over weight I could see why it would be a problem it can cause your water to break early and gestational diabetes but I gained 42lbs with my first I am barely 5 foot tall and I weighted 136 when I got pregnant.  My doctor was nagging too but everything was just fine. This round I'm 19 weeks and I've gained 10lbs which I think is great!  This app on the other hand says it's excessive but my doctor isn't concerned at all. Just keep doing what you're doing try to cut back on fried food and sugar drink lots of water and Don't worry about it!

Your dr needs to relax. I've gained 5 lbs in 3 weeks and have my appt today. Last month I only gained 2 lbs in 4 weeks. I don't think all weight gain is even throughout pregnant like they think it should be. For me it doesn't work like that. Some weeks I gain more, some I don't gain at all. Don't worry, I think you're still on track for normal weight gain.

Tell him to get over it what an ***!  Your fine! :-) btw I gained 48lbs with my first and I was gone and a picture of health! No bp issues or gd or anything. And a normal person should gain 25-35lbs bc just your uterus placenta fluids baby extra blood etc can weigh about 20lbs!! 8.6 of my 48 was my son! Plus all the other extra weight from what I said not to mention I lost 20lbs in the first 3 months due to hyperemesis.

I don't think it's bad. But maybe in his eyes he feels you will gain 2 pounds every 2 weeks for the rest of your pregnancy which totals up to 20 more pounds and a total 42 pounds your whole pregnancy. Maybe have a chance developing gd or high blood pressure which can cause complications later on as well. But remember we always put on more weight the end of pregnancy as long as your eating habits are good. Then I wouldn't worry too much about it.
