Ironically, I can not say that. My doctor does one each appointment because they fear gestational diabetes and want to make sure the baby is growing healthy and not to fast
I'm at 31 weeks and I've had 4 ultrasounds so far... 2 I paid for though.
My doctor does early ultrasound because it's the best time to get the most accurate gestational age. I had them done at 10, 20 and 30 and I have one more at 37 for fetal weight. I have 3 children already and the oldest is 14 and even then I had more than just one ultrasound.
With my first two pregnancies 2 was all you would get unless there were any complications..I'm on my third pregnancy now I'm 20 weeks have had one ultrasound and have another Friday..but that should be it
I don't think you should complain but if u ask and they do it then that's good
My Dr will give me two.. One on your first visit and one around 20 weeks. I did ask my Dr about the position not the weight because I know they won't do it just for that. But she said at my 36 weeks they will check me for position of baby
My first three pregnancies I only had 1 ultrasound each and this time I've had 3 but 2 were for medical reasons with the 3rd and most recent being the anatomy scan. If it weren't for the medical needs thus time around, I probably would've only had 1 again.
My doc does an early one one at 13 w one at 20 and then one around 30 to make sure baby is in position
18 weeks was my last one.... thank you ladies I'll just be patient
Many doctors won't do another ultrasound after the 16-20 week anatomy scan unless there is a medical reason. My doctor feels how the baby is laying and has me feel too. That's how I know the position of my baby. I will get another ultrasound at 40 weeks if baby isn't here yet.
My doctor wasn't going to give me anymore but one at 20 weeks, even though my insurance pays for 3! He said that I'm Measuring fine and the baby heart rate is fine so there was no need to. I had to practically beg him too get another one! So ridiculous if you ask me! My whole argument was with my first he had problems with his kidneys development that of course went away but the whole idea is preventive care! Think about it, it's basically the last time you get to see your baby's insides before it's born and if there is something wrong you can prepare for it! Sorry rant over! I'd explain why you want it. If for anything a piece of mind!
When was your last ultrasound? Around 3 is usually standard during pregnancy
