Epidural yes?? Epidural no??

I am now pregnant with my second. and with my first it was a horrible experience. My last week of pregnancy with my first I have high blood pressure.( preeclampsia). They had to induce me. Then I found out that I had low platelets... so I could not get the epidural. I was in labor for 36 hours... My mom tells me now that I need to take better care of myself with the second so I can get the epidural. But..... I am not too sure I want to do the epidural I  heard so many horror stories... plus I have a lower back tattoo...what should I do?

If u can do it without the epadural the first time then u can do it the second time. With my first i had the epadural n the second one i did. I wish i didn't get the epadural with my first cuz it still hurts my back where they poked me n they was 2 years ago.

I've heard horror stories too my mom being a victim of punctured spine (now she has migraines) but with my 1st i was induced & I got one & everything went perfect I felt NO pain or pressure pushed baby out in 30mins. I'm on baby #2 & I'm choosing all natural just because I feel our bodies were made to birth & I do have prolapsed bladder which I believe is from me pushing too hard without feeling anything. I trust my body will help me get thru it at the pace I'm supposed to.

I got an epi for my first pregnancy. I was actually trying to go all natural because I heard epidural can slow down the process. I ended up begging for it, and my little man was out in 30 mins. I have a giant lower back tattoo also. As long as it's not a new tat and it's all heeled, the ink from the tatto can't actually get into ur blood despite urban legends :)
