I'm very sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage as well. We discovered it about the same time as you, at 11 and a half weeks. we waited several weeks for a natural miscarriage but none occurred. The doctor told us we should explore other means to complete a miscarriage. Because we are high deductible, we opted to take mifepristone (or RU-486) plus misoprostol.  It is cheaper than a D&C (and more private) and more reliable than misoprostol alone.  Also, I could do it over a weekend.  That also meant I had to go to Planned Parenthood to get the meds.  Pain was like horrible diarrhea and terrible period cramps... I.e. unpleasant but manageable.  I was glad I was at home.
