2nd opinion?

39 weeks with vaginal and rectal pain and pressure contractions ever 4-6 minutes. 2cm 60%effaced.  Doctors said there's nothing they can do but wait..  Can I get a 2nd opinion at a different doctor or asked to be induced or have a cervix dilating pill?

contractions don't sound regular and I was at 2 cm 75% for a couple weeks with my first. I would say you only have a couple days left at most, so try sex and walking. naturally inducing is much more comfortable than medically inducing.

I actually don't think a Dr world take you on now,  being as close as you are.  And it sounds like you're in labor. Is neat be patient, take a warm bath and go to the hospital and get checked again.

I was just going based off of my experience with my 2nd pregnancy. A lot of mistakes were made by my doctor and i wanted to switch to someone else and they wouldn't let me because that doctor had not seen me before.

You can switch doctors whenever you want... bad doctor or one you're not comfortable with is no good. You can try just going to er and tell them you're having pains and see what happens, or try to see a new doc. I hope whatever you choose makes you feel comfortable and that all goes well doll. Good luck

Did you try going to the er? A different doctor will check you there as well as on nurses

Hi. Once you have already started seeing an ob doctor you can't just switch to another one. They will not induce you if it's not medically necessary. It is now just going to be a waiting game for you. Good luck!!

Is it possible to go to a different doctor and ask for a second opinion?

I would be scared to have the baby at home. Get a second opinion.
