Holy cramps :(

Psh I thought period cramps were bad. Haha not! I've had the worst cramps along with so much pressure down there owww! Its funny bc I was reading an article encouraging women to give birth naturally and I was almost convinced then my son poked me down there and it was the worst sharp pain I've ever felt and I was like yepp epidural all the way!! I'm only 35 weeks and still 29 days to go. I'm getting nervous thinking about the pain that lies ahead. Anyone else having terrible cramps?

I had that with my 2nd. It felt like his nails were digging into my crotch sometimes. It was so bad,Id gasp and drop what i was doing.but it was nnothing like labor! I think the pain of it feels worse because its so sudden and unexpected. Catches us off guard. The cramps are normal. Its so frustrating, the end of pregnancy. So many aches and pains we have to accept as normal even though we feel far from it.

And let me tell you...
As a 17Yr old, when I was having my first I made the choice to have no pain meds. I ended up needing a c section after for different reasons but I labored without any pain meds for 31 1/2 hrs. Babies having babies my @ss. Lol.
It wasnt as bad as all that. I think tv likes to scare us and we tend to to focus on horror stories more than successes.

With my second I was determined for vbac I ddidn't have epidural I had something else i can't remember now though. Went in the arm.Again, fine,he flew right out. I only needed 3 stitches and he was 9lbs 5oz and 22 inches long lol

Never forget the amazing things the female body is capable of! We grow humans,we give birth and feed em,all with our bodies. We were chosen as the stronger of the species, clearly. If nature didn't feel like we could handle it... it'd be up to the men haha.

All that said, if you really want an epidural that is totally your right and you deserve whatever you want in your labor! I only wrote this novel because it seemed like you were considering natural at some point. I totally don't think less of anyone who doesn't though lol
