Not many friends...baby shower??

I have a home daycare. Work 11 hours a day. I have all the household duties (my hubs could def help more ) and any thing else that comes up. My hubs has lots of friends thru work and his church activities. He is there twice a week, once a week it is a guys group. I cant get off work in time for anything. There are so many ladies at church and wives of his friends that want to do things like an hour before I get off work so I get left out alot. My husband is saying, "oh the wives will give you a shower. Dont worry about it." And what he doesnt realize is that the guys he hangs out with, the wives dont even know my name. Being a daycare mom has kept me with my daughter and future baby but I have lost or not been able to make any new friends. So....its making me very nervous about reveal parties or showers. We have tried having get togethers but when everyone comes over they all talk and visit because they all already know each other and I end up feeling left out in my own home.
How do I break into a social circle particularly wjere my husband already has some connections so this pregnancy wont be so lonely?? Makes me not even want to try to have a shower.

I'm having a shower with my fiancee family and their friends. My family is on the other coast. Besides his mom I won't know anyone else there. I'm not very good socially around new people so I am nervous as to how this will all play out especially since it is for me. I figure whatever I'll just wing it. No point in stressing over it. I will get the things that I need.
