32 weeks high blood pressure

Hey ladies, I found out I had chronic high blood pressure at 17 weeks when it went sky high and was put on labetelol. The medication has worked well so far but in the last few weeks my blood pressure is rising again. I've talked to my Dr and upped my dose. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance. Anyone have blood pressure problems and still go on to carry full term with a healthy baby? Looking for positive stories...feeling discouraged.

Hi Cecily I literally just got on here and came across your post. I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my third child and 3 years ago was diagnosed with high bp I too was prescribed labatelol. Its worked well alone for a couple weeks and like u it started to go up again. So my doctor added nifedipine another pregnancy safe bp med and the combination of the two are awesome. I know u probably don't want to be on more than one high bp med but after all it's your health and u should take care of u and u must be here for your little one. I hope everything goes well and I hope I lifted your spirits and btw my high bp three year old is doing great lol. Be blessed :)
