Ok ladies here is my update and I am one unhappy mommy! After 3 days of contractions some contraction contractions others just Bh contractions I decided to go into ld. When I got here they were 4-5min apart which they have been pretty much for those 3 days but would always stop. Well turns out I was 3cm and 50% effaced. They gave me a steroid shot for baby girls lungs and admitted me. After 16hrs or contractions I finally got my second and last steroid shot. They checked me and I progressed only to 4cm and 60% in That tIme period.. then my contractions stopped! So today they sent me home at 4 1/2 cm and 90% effaced.. because they think i have an irritable uterus (by definition it's contractions that do not cause your cervix to dilate) seeing how I was fully closed and long on Mon there goes that theory. To top it off they almost gave me an emergency c section yesterday because my daughter heart rate dropped from 140 to 108-98 for over 2hrs. But yes sending me home sounds safe!!! Doc goes well if your contractions get regular again or your water breaks make sure.you come back in because your labor will go fast!!! And That this baby will be here before the end of the week... I feel like I'm going to end up delivering a premie in my truck!

Thanks ladies. It's comforting to have so many of you reply! Currently I am still at home. I have completely lost my mucus plus, I've had my 'bloody' show. And I am still having inconsistent painful contractions.. but I'm starting to think my body knows something I don't because this morning my milk supply arrived. So who knows, it's all up to this little girl now. Her cooking longer would be ideal, but that is hard to say when they keep telling me they think I'm 37w and have my dates wrong because she is already over 6lbs in there. So all's I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I knw how u feel sweety but ther r right ur babys lungs hvnt developed yet and thats the best thing for both of u.. I came in hospital nearly 15 hours ago they gave me a steroid shot and thank god my contractions had stopped they will come bk in 5 hours at 9am check me gove me another steroid shot and  if my contractions hv completely gone I can hopefully go home. Honestly its no fun being at hospital.  Your very early I would say now that your home rest as much as you can eat healthy drink lots of water and keep your mind stress free. You dont want to go in labour nd keep ur baby away from u in I.c.u. . I pray things will go well.. I seen women here been induced 3 days ago they hv contractions and ther still here coz ther either dibetic or have high b.p..

I talked to 3 obs and like 6 nurses! And the only thing they explained was if I stay they will likely start to intervene in my labor. Which they don't want to do, but why not just let my body do what it is clearly doing in a supervised place. I'm still having contractions and bleeding.. I know she is coming! If I've came this far in less then 4 days. It's just I hope when she does I have enough time to get back to the hospital

I'd be really sketchy about that....I've never heard of being sent home that.far dialated....maybe you need to speak with another OBGYN for a second opinion.

All I can say is read and know ur rights at the hospital... this maternity business can be really nasty depending on who u have. Just be informed and dont let them take u for a ride. My prayers are with u. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hmm.. sounds like a typical hospital policy of emptying beds asap to take the next patient. But if I were you, I would be on high alert from now till labor begins.. because you will still have contractions and dilations at home so even though u might feel the contractions u wont know how far ur dialatedd unless u hit the hospital... I would just basically be ready, avoid any extraneous activities and wait for the signs to reoccur and get on the docs ***** if they offered another c section or induction but then chose to send me home. Those are some idiotic physicians.
