Get a new doc! That is ridiculous! I was induced at 38 weeks with my first because doc said baby was small and about 4lbs. Well he was born same day....5lb 7oz and completely healthy. My friend was just induced a week ago...same story- doc said baby was too small and 4 lb. She gave birth to a baby 6lb 3oz. So they could be wrong about weight. And how many babies are born extremely premature and have a healthy first cry? What a crock. Im sorry your doc had the nerve to say that to you. Please dont worry. Hugs!
Exactly what they said what a jerk of a doctor.. I would change my doc if they was so rude... Don't stress yourself mama your baby will be fine maybe a lil small but so what... That's how God wanted your pride an joy... God makes no mistakes...
Mu daughter was 4 lbs 12 oz and born at 33 weeks. I don't know why your Dr would say that they are still born when they are that small... maybe he was just trying to prepare yuri for the worse. I hope and pray for a healthy baby for you.
Are there others facts that you didn't share? Because otherwise I can't imagine any doctor just saying that! How awful! Hugs mama!
Thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. My mom gave birth to my older brother full term an he only weighed 4lbs i dnt knw how many oz but he was perfectly healthy. Im sorry ur dr would tell u something like that.
What??? How can they even determine if a baby willbe bborn "sleeping" based on its size at 35 weeks. At 31-32 (can't remember) my last ultrasound, my daughter was 3lbs 9oz, on Thr small side and my OB said she would be about 6-6 1/2 lbs at birth........ this makes no sense. Go to a different doctor!
That's very harsh for your doctor to say. Your baby will be roughly 6 6.5 pounds at birth which is a fine size. At 34 weeks and 3 days my baby was 4 pounds and 8oz and my doctor said my baby will be roughly 7 pounds at birth. Little babies are healthy babies too.
K...your doc should have not said that. That sounds like a perfectly healthy weight to me. Please don't cry. Everything will work out and you will have a healthy baby very soon.
I know your at the end of your pregnancy but that's extreme enough to go get a second opinion from another obgyn. If your baby is normal except for a little smaller, why would that cause still birth!?! Doesn't make sense to me. My daughter was full term and was 5lb 12oz which means around 35-36weeks she was around 4-4.5lbs. She's perfectly healthy. Good luck :(
oh my God why would she say that I'm 35 weeks and 6 days and my baby is just 5 pounds and apparently he's perfectly healthy I'm sorry that you had to hear that I will keep you in my prayers but I wouldn't worry about it as long as everything else looks good I wouldn't be concerned about that my friends baby wasn't getting enough weight and they induced her and took him out he was still perfectly healthy
