Labor Dragging Out

I'm still 2 cms dilated same as 12 hours ago. My contractions have been ongoing since at least 9 am. Been stressed all day and night, trying desperately to relax, and just not getting it done.
My fiancé just took me to the L&D unit so I could ask to be examined and they told me everything is the sane, and they're glad to see that my LO is staying active. They gave me a Vistaril and sent me on home, told me to stay as hydrated as possible and try to get some sleep tonight.
Anybody else playing the waiting game with contractions?

Guess the walking didn't work out yet, we went around the mall for three hours :( my legs are sore now but I got lots of exercise I guess.
About to take a nap (try to anyway) and eat some cinnamon applesauce (good comfort food). Not at the same time though.
Come on babies, we've been waiting forever and you can't still be comfortable in there!

I have been having contractions for about a week now too! I'm still only 2cm! I have tried everything but I guess my little one is going to come when it comes. :) it's so infuriating when you are so close yet so far away.

Your comment just had me laughing. Pitiful faces! Grumpy nerve!  Lol.  Kudos for maintaining a sense of humor through it all.  Good luck to all of you

Same here. Spent 5 hrs in l&d yesterday with Contractions 2-3 minutes apart. Only dialated from 2-3 cm. I was so miserable laying in that hospital bed I made the call to come home and wait it out. I wish this little guy would get his but in gear!

I did a lot of visualization during contractions and swear it helped. Just breathe and visualize your cervix opening while contractions are happening. I hope it gets more active for you soon. Good luck.

Ooh feel like I slept forever, I knew that Vistaril would knock me out cold.
Taking a nice warm bath now, then going to make pitiful faces at SO to see if he'll take me to walk around the mall. Don't know if it will work out because my sciatic nerves have been grumpy, but there are benches.
I wish we could feel our cervix dilate so we knew when to go in :( I feel like my belly is just going to pop today or crunch me right in half.
I wonder how the babies feel when we get stuck with contractions, my LO hasn't stopped kicking and wiggling around but he seems kind of drowsy sometimes.

I did with my 2nd pregnancy. I had contractions for over a week before I got to 5cm and was admitted. Sometimes walking, a hot shower, or even rubbing your belly and doing breathing exercises helps ease them and like they said stay hydrated. Not much else you can do other than wait.
