Wow. I can't imagine being in labor for that long but this is my first pregnancy. I'm glad that everything ended up going well for you. Due to a sudden spike with my blood pressure my doctor plans on inducing me next weekend at 39 weeks. So I'm hoping things go well. I have a doctors appointment Monday so I plan on talking to her it's just nice to hear from other moms with their experiences
I agree w. Rainbow don't push for drugs because they slow contractions and you need that to push the baby out. Having a baby is such a learning experience I didn't have the epidural but I did have iv meds. 12hr labor pushed for three hours.
Wow didn't realize how lucky i was to have such a fast birth! I went in at 8am and had her at 8.26am. Face up.
I gave birth to my daughter who was face up. Didn't know till after she was born. It's a more painful position and there can be complications because they don't fit as well. Do a little research on sunny side up babies. I was in labor from 6am to 10am the next day. 28hours basically. Went in at 7pm and had an epidural at around 8pm cause the pain in my hips was way to much to handle anymore. Because of the position it can be too painful and longer, leading to drugs being used which slow the contractions which leads Dr's to start pushing breaking your water sooner or starting pitocin and when all that happens c sections are more likely to happen. So I suggest holding out for as long as you can on getting something for the pain, and if you get it don't keep pushing the button for more and more. After I got my epidural I pushed it 4 hours later for more and after that I never pushed the button again and started letting it wear off so my contractions would get stronger cause they wanted to break my water cause the contractions slowed. As it wore off they got stronger again and I started dilating more and around 6am I started feeling pain again and wanted more drugs, but because pressure accompanied the pain I wanted to be checked first. I was at 8cm when she checked and then my water broke so I didn't push for more drugs. Had the baby at 943am and felt everything. Once I started to push my adrenaline burned up the rest of the drugs. So worth it. Her face wasn't even bruised or squished. I am still in love with how the birth went.
My second baby was face up until labor. He flipped in labor. A lot of babies do.
Thank you smallbby that's what I was wondering
My son took 3 hours to come out and was faced the same way they turned him side ways during the labor it was hard but he came out healthy
Thank you that makes me more calm about it
My first born was born face up. I didn't even know until the nurse told me after she was born. Had a good birth with no complications.
Has your doctor mentioned anything to you about it? This is my first pregnancy
Im not as far along as you but yeah the last 2 or 3 appointments she has been head down and her back to my back. Im only 28 weeks.
