37 weeks constant menstrual like cramps

I'm 37 weeks 4 days. I have been having menstrual like cramps on and off for about a week. Tonight I started to have constant cramps that I still feel right now. Since they are constant there is no way to time them. Any thoughts? Labor progressing shortly? Or is this normal this stage of the game?

Sounds like pre labor. It comes and goes over a period of days for me. Super frustrating since he's 'due' in 8 days :/

Yes it feels like you have to go to the bathroom but nothing happens. And idk if I'm dilated or not my next appointment is on the 10th. I got some rest last night and I feel a little better this morning. It could've been triggered by me working an eight hour shift yesterday! my hubby is coming home on the 17th (same day as membrane sweep) so hopefully baby boy will wait for papa bear.

I am 38+6 and I am experiencing the same thing random irregular menstrual like cramping for the past two days. I was barely a fingertip dialated 60% effaced mucus plug fully intact no bloody show baby boy still high at my last two appointments trying to hold out until mom comes in town Sept 10th but I think baby boy may have other plans! I thought I needed to have a bowel movement but even afterward I have cramps that come a go through the day
