37weeks 2cm dilated first baby

I went to the doctor today and I was 2 cm dilated. He said he could send us down to labor and delivery and be monitored and walk or go home and walk and be more comfortable there. He said he wouldn't doubt he gets a phone call tonight but also said it could be till next week. Everyone in the family says it won't happen for a few more weeks but since Sunday (3 1/2 days now) I've had horrible low back pain, cramping, contractions getting stronger, and not sleeping. All symptoms have grown stronger. Will it really take another week maybe. Not sure why doctor didn't take me now baby is breeched and we are doing a c section anyways.

If it helps, with my first, I had L&D check me twice before I was admitted. I started contractions that a.m. & went that afternoon and again that evening. I wasn't admitted until the middle of the night (read 1 a.m.).

There's no reason to feel bad. You can go to labor and delivery to get checked. They are there for this type of situation. There is no reason for you to worry about it upsetting them. :)

Yes they all are getting stronger. My back kills during the contractions but now I feel like if I call and no improvement is made I will feel bad. I know dumb but I dont want to rush calling him but he did say I was being tough through the ones I've had.

The dr probably wants to give baby as long as baby needs is why. Yes, it can be another week but I also doubt it. You are showing a lot of signs of early labor. Good luck ;)
