I hope so. I was 18 and terrified when I had my first. I feel a lot better being 25 and knowing what to expect. I just hope this want wants to come out. My daughter sure didn't. Stubborn girl. Lol

Definitely had an easier time the second time round. Mostly because mentally I knew what to expect and what was going on so a lot of the fear and chaos was gone. It was also faster and pushing was nothing compared to the first time. Of course any baby can throw you for a loop but chances are second baby will treat you better

Yes! for me it was faster. With the first one I pushed for 2-3 hours.. with ssecond only 15 mins. And the recovery was a lot easier second time.

Subsequent labors tend to be easier but for me the after labors get more and more intense. With #3 i thought i was in labor again. I scared for #4

My second went faster and labour not as painful but the birth itself sucked!!! :-/ his head and his arm came out at the same time though burnt like hell

Usually it is, because you know how contractions work, so the stress of the unknown is gone. But usually you can't say until afterwards anyway, because no matter how long or short it is, labor is always hard work.

I was in labor for 9 hours with all three of mine, I think the first was more terrifying for me because I had no idea what to do or what to expect, my second I was prepared for everything and my third was a piece of cake lol so hopefully my fourth with be even easier lol

In general people say that it is because our bodies know what to expect... Hard to say we'll all find out pretty soon lol!

My first labor was 9 hours and my second was 4 hours.  It went a lot smoother and I felt more confident in what I was doing.  I wonder how long my third will be.
