depends on u, go with the flow. I had 4 puffs of gas and it made me dizzy i hated it. i went natural had my first baby 4 days ago. and i recovered quickly. I was discharged from the hospital 4 hours later and returned home.my bleeding is very light too.

I personally think they're silly. Birth is so unpredictable and something you can't plan. If you are firm on things then you can communicate that verbally with those around you because if you're in labour for a while chances are you'll have a rotation of docs and midwives and I doubt they will all read your plan. I think keep and open mind and be prepared for things to be out of your control. You'll put yourself under too much pressure otherwise.

I found my birth plan great! Didn't follow it completely but it was good for getting me to think about which interventions I would be ok with and what I'd prefer to use first if problems did come up. It meant everything was clear in my mind about what I wanted to do myself and what I wanted other's roles to be (husband, midwife, sisters). You can probably get the format or example off a pregmancy website or google search. Highly recommend it just for giving yourself a clear direction and thinking about the best approaches. Only a very small part of it is positions and things. Yeah you can just go in blind and wing it sure, or just trust the doctors to do the job... but it was too important an event for me not to prepare myself and doctors have all sorts of differing approaches (even amongst themselves so it's not guaranteed your doctor's particular approach will suit you the best) so it's good to figure out if your approach lines up with theirs.

I don't have one either, although, I'm only 21wks.  The only thoughts about it that have entered my mind are whether or not I'm going to try going natural.  I'm scared to set my sights on anything definite because with my luck, everything always becomes a curve ball lol  Just make sure you pack.  Let your body and baby decide how it's going to go.  Ultimately, they're the ones with the final say anyways lol ;) (well, besides the docs I guess...)

I didn't have one either and all went well. I simply told my dr "do whatever it takes to make sure baby is healthy".
Drs know what they're doing and I wasn't wanting specific things. ..
birth plans are mainly for ladies that want to do specific things, like give birth in a squatting position,  for example.  I wanted baby out and healthy.  That was my plan.

I didn't. My drs best advice was to just keep and openmind and he was right. Will do the same this time. Just focus on the main points (epidural or gas, breast or bottle, visitors or not) anf go with the flow.
