A Lot of Pressure

Ok, so I'm 29w3d & I work as a CNA in a nursing home. Much of my job requires extreme heavy lifting & a lot of walking. I am aware the walking will not hurt the baby but the heavy lifting is wat I'm afraid of. I make rounds 3x a night & pick up on residents when transferring. By the time I am finish w/ a round, I have a lot of pressure in my belly.. I am just afraid it is hurting my baby.. Any advice r input?? Please help

Look up your pregnancy health and safety leglislation for your country. In ireland if you work in a job where there is a health and safety issue e.g heavy lifting and where the job can not accomadate u in another suitable line of work, well then u are entitled to go on pregnancy related illness leave and your employer must pay u in full for this. They are under no obligation to pay u for maternity leave though.thats up to the employers discretion.

@susamor Tried that already. We work short hand already & 2 days a week I actually work a unit alone. 1 of my supersivsors does try 2 used help when available, but I cnt say the same 4 the other supervisor. They tld me str8 up when I first found out that there is so such thing as light duty @ that facility. The job is wat I signed up 4, the job is wat I must do.

Your employers can't make accommodations for you while you're pregnant? Maybe have another employee help with lifting so you don't have to?
