A Summer to Remember!

We just found out my bf is getting transferred to Tenn! We are in Fl now. Have to be there by July 12 and I'm due June 26th. I just got my cast off my broken leg. My shower is next weekend. No shortage of activity in our lives! Lol.  Hope I can manage all these! Neither of us has ever even away from home/family! And I'll have a newborn and 3yr old on my hands!! Anybody else have experience  or advice for smooth transition for us all?? Survivable with sanity!!???!!  Lol!

Our friends that got transferred before us got placed in Nashville ( spring hill) and said they will never come back! They love it there and are having a huge house built now that you'd never get here in our county-  size or price wise. So that excites me. Haven't heard anybody say anything bad about Tenn yet. I'm just going to stay off YouTube because that was all "cops" episodes :/

Indeed. I'm glad neither of them will have to be in school yet. I have noticed the schools district ratings are hit or miss. So thankfully I can research that afterwards. One less thing to do! Yeah!! That's a genius suggestion about mom groups. That didn't even occur to me! Thank you!!

Well we only saw the apartment complex once. I did alot of online research. It has worked out good. Husband loves his job and I found a great job too. I have no family here or anywhere close. Thats the hardest part. Expecially thinking about having another baby without them here for support. Chattanooga is a place we really want to visit. Its suppose to be really pretty. It also has an amazing aquarium.  Good luck on your move. I would look up mom groups. They can always give you in site into the areas schools and stuff. Thats how I know where we will be moving and finally settling down at. But besides that do your research on schools and daycare and stuff.

Wow I guess Tennessee is the place to be! Lol. I moved at 37 weeks with my first but luckily it was only down the stairs over one building and back up (bigger model)! We overlapped our rents for a week so we didn't have to rush. We have moving down to a science now! But this go round will be crazy! Never had to "move" the cars and motorcycle and truck it out of state! And to a place weve ever seen! I hope this baby isn't late! Mid July was already an extension given from June! On a side note, of course today is the most gorgeous Florida day of all time, makes me not want to go.  Lol

At least you'll have your baby before you go. I'm moving at 37 weeks pregnant lol. Good luck with your move! We're going to TN as well, but the north west corner. My hubby is being medically seperated from the military.

^^ not area wise.  Just housing wise.

Did you move sight unseen? That's really the only thing I'm stressing about... Things not being what they seem online and turning out to be a dump!

I had to move from Arkansas to Tenn for my husbands job. We have been here a year. I would suggest finding a Stay at home mom group to make friends. Helped me out alot. They were awesome support. Hope you have an easy move. If your looking at the Nashville area I could help you out a little. That where we are. Good luck on  your move!!
