Advice pleaae- help!! / allergies

What can I take for stuffy nose , stuffed ears and headache . I'm thinking its allergies. My ob said he couldn't give me anything that I would have to go see my primary Dr to get something there which sounded like total bs to me I've never been told that before and I do not want to schedule an appointment and wait in an office 3 hours to get something. Help please! I've been like this for a while and I can't take it anymore, I'm desperate!!!

I have bad seasonal allergies. My OB said regular Claritin or Zyrtec are the two safest to take during your pregnancy. When it's really bad, I take Benadryl at night as well plus it helps you sleep better. I am 34 weeks and everything so far so good. I take it in the mornings. Good luck.
Oh.. You can do off brand too. I buy mine at Costco. =)

I asked my pharmacist today because I have the same allergy issues - je said Lortadine OTC is perfectly safe (Claritin) just NO Sudafed or Psuedaphedrine (Claritin D or Allegra D). He also said my Flonase is safe. I take both on bad days, but I also diffuse OnGuard Essential Oil which helps tremendously as well. Hope that helps you!

Depending on how far along you are you can take benedryl, my dr says 20 weeks. (Every dr is a little different)
Your OB should at least be able to okay you maybe taking an alergy med like Alavert, call and ask. There is no reason they can't just say 'yes' or 'no' and yiur General isn't an expert in pregnancy so he won't know what's safe.
Mine alleries so bad I had a migraine for a week and my OB instructed me to take my normal alergy meds for 3 days and use a nasal spray. Then I had to stop because I'm not far enough along but that and things like a humidifier and changes air filters in your ac/heat should help

Thanks for the help! I'm gonna ask again because its true, my primary Dr is most likely not going to want to prescribe me anything cus I'm pregnant and is just gonna tell me to go to my Ob and I'm so desperate already! Thanks.

If it is allergies you can take antihistamines like Benadryl while you're pregnant. I take it every day for my allergies. Hope it helps :)
