Blood tests to find out the sex

I have just read on here that a mummy found out the sex by having a blood test
Can someone tell me the cost I'm in qld and never heard of this before

I did the blood test my insurance paid for it i had it done at 13 weeks and its called the harmony test. And it is actually more accurate than an ultra sound because it looks at the chromosomes so tell if the baby is a boy or girl. oh and yes mine was right boy the blood work and ultra sound at  13 weeks showed a boy

The name is the harmony test, and u have to talk to your doctor to see if your insurance covers it, I had last year and it was accurate and I had it this Monday so in 2 weeks I'll know the results

There is a new blood test you can do that is offered. It tests for other things, as well the gender. It's not widely available yet (depending where you live) so it's something you would need to bring up with the doctor.

The blood test isn't as accurate as an ultrasound, so you would still need one to confirm.
