Am I missing something

I am 20 wks now, and everything I read says I'm supposed to fell quickening and little fluttering,  I am a little chunky but not horribly big,  and I'm just concerned because I don't think I'm feeling anything yet,  am I the only one or are there specific things I should be looking for

I'm 21 weeks and just started to feel what I could consider movement, small random kicks... Although my doctor thinks I was just not recognising the feeling for a few weeks as I thought it was just gas, however it felt like gas that was moving sideways.... I feel it more at night, when I am laying down, I find if I drink a glass of oj, and then lay down on my back for 10-15mins before bed I can feel the baby move alot more... I think because I'm a little over weight, and this is my first it will take a little while for others to be able to feel the baby kick, and to feel the kicking consistently. ..  Hang in there it will come!

I was like you and my son first kicked me when I was 24 wks. Don't worry your child will do so once he or she is ready. Once it starts your gonna love it. Good luck hun

Yes I read that women often mistake gas for those feelings too haha. Don't worry!

Just be patient.  I didn't feel anything until I was 24 weeks because my placenta is attached to the front of my stomach instead of my back. So she had to get a little stronger before I could feel s nuttiness threw the extra padding.

Your not the only one. Im kinda chunky too and Ive been kinda stressing because I havent felt anything either yet im 21 weeks today. I always think about it, always trying to feel something im so impatient i want to feel the kicks already! And everyone keeps asking if i feel him because im showing already and i think that makes me more anxious! But i feel like itll come as they grow no worries!

Don't stress about that. Once they get a little bigger, you will feel it all! Even when you would rather not!

First time moms may not feel.it till about 25 weeks. That's when I noticed it. Don't worry, you will feel the baby soon!

I didn't feel my first until 22 weeks. I was a little chubby too. Now I have felt baby since 14 weeks. I know what it feels like....also your placenta could be up front instead of on the back of your uterus which would cushion the kicks.
