Anatomy Scan 20+4

I leave for my anatomy scan in about an hour and I'm a little apprehensive bc my husband has to work and won't be there with me (he's been to every appointment and was at my first us scan).

What do they do and how long does it take? How many pictures did they give you after yours?

I'm actually waiting to be called back for my scan as we speak. ... my hubby isn't here either. ... he had with obligations. It usually takes about 45 minutes. They check everything out on the baby to make sure it's healthy and you can find out the gender. I'm gonna have the sono tech write it on a piece of paperfor me so later when my hubby gets home we can find out together. How many pictures depends on the place. ....I usually get around 10-15....Are you finding out the gender? Wish you well. .... good luck!

It takes about 40-60 mins. They measure everything on the baby and check for any deformity. They will also check for gender. How many pics depends on the place but most will print however many you want. Some will give you a DVD.

With my first pregnancy the ultrasound lasted about 40 minutes. Its so much fun. Except half way through I needed to have them stop shop I could turn on my side.  All that weight and pressure from laying on my back was making me feel sick.  They use the ultrasound wand and rib it over your stomach with a jelly type stuff.
