Any mums to be with MS? Worried :(

Just wondering if there are and mums to be or any mothers who have had children already withMS. Just wondering how u got on during your pregnancy and more importantly after. I am 14 weeks pregnant and super happy as is my husband.  But I cant help but think  have I made the right decision to have a child as I fear I will have a massive relapse after the baby is born and wont be able to look after it. I am in really good health at the moment and before I got pregnant but cant get this off my mind. Any advice would be great. Thanks x

I have relapsing remitting ms and I've been feeling great during my pregnancy too. I was concerned about what I will go through after I have the baby also. When I was 3months pregnant I had to do the iv steroid for 3 days because of trigeminal neuralgia. I haven't had any problems since. I hope we all have our babies and be relapse free!

Thank you for your replies its nice to know others with MS  are doing well.  I have also stopped my daily injections which has been a worry fingers crossed my pregnancy will go smoothly.  I am seeing my neurologist  today so I have lots of questions for him. Thanks again x

I'm 24 weeks and have relapsing remitting ms. I had to go off of my injections and so far haven't suffered from a relapse.  My neurologist said that if you do however have one, there are safe steroids that can be given through i.v.
there is a risk of a higher chance of relapse after you deliver but again, can be put on steroids to help you through it and then back to normal medication.
Ms is worsened by stress so there's no good in driving yourself crazy over thinking it. Keep in contact with your neurologist who have experience in the matter.
