I allways just ask. If im at subway. They heat it for me no prob before they make it.
My doctor recommended heating up the meat for 20-30 seconds before eating. Of course you can let it cool down before eating if you want. She also said subway or fresh sliced deli meat has less chance for listeria contamination, unless you have it in your fridge for a few days. Then just heat it first.
I love my deli meats so I have just been heating it up before I eat it. And if I'm having subway I get it toasted.
It's a weird craving for me but a good deli sandwich sounds awesome!
I didn't have a problem with deli meat during my previous pregnancies. Doctors are worried about listeria, but listeria can be found in produce products as well. I'm not going to starve or worry myself to death. I just make sure I know what I am eating and that I can trust the source.
Well you can eat guilt free if you heat it up. That sounds gross to me, but hey maybe not to you!
