Any tips?

So I will be 39 weeks on wed and am having a 2nd attempt at a sweep on Tues (1st my cervix was too high, too posterior and too closed) anyone any tips on how to get things moving on their own other than the old wives tales? I tried them all with my first and still ended up 8 days over and sex is the last thing I wanna do as I look and feel like a beached whale and my spd is flaring up something serious

I wish I knew of ways to speed things up!! I am now 40wks and 3 days. Went to labor and delivery yesterday with severe back pain, cramps, heavy mucous discharge and bleeding. Sent home saying everything was fine and my cervix is still less than 1cm and not even 50% effaced. Been dealing with all thus fun stuff since Friday evening. We have been walking as much as possible this weekend, going to try sex, although it is the last thing I want to do feeling the way I do, but something has got to give to get this little girl out!
