Anyone else doing lovenox injections?

I am 26 weeks pregnant and unfortunatly have been doing daily lovenox injections from pretty much the day I found out I was pregnant due to prior health issues. I get so frustrated with them especially the nights when I already don't feel good. I was just wondering if anyone else is suffering with these horrible shots. If so how do you deal with them?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I think it helps a lot just knowing there are other women going through the same type of problems and knowing we aren't in it alone. The support makes me feel so much better already :)

I was diagnosed at 16wks with deep vein thrombosis after they found a blood clot in my left calf. I am doing lovenox injections twice a day 12 hours apart. I'm now almost 24wks along. I have to see a hematologist once a month and my ob doc every 2 weeks. I also have to continue the injections throughout the whole pregnancy and then for the 6wks postpartum. It ***** but I figure I'm doing it to keep the baby safe bc doc said that the blood clot could of traveled to the vessels connecting the baby or to my lungs causing a pulmonary embolism :( I'm just thankful they caught it in time. Some days I break down and cry after my shot. I've found that icing my belly helps make it hurt less. But now that my belly is getting bigger and my skins tighter; it's getting harder. Good luck to you ladies. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I feel like no one understands what I'm going through.

I did lovenox from when I found out I was pregnant till 24 weeks. My current doctor stopped it. He said I didn't need it. I did mine  first thing in the morning at the same time every day. It was uncomfortable but at that time I told myself if am told to jump off a bridge to carry my baby in my arms I would. I ended up getting cerclage and I have been in the hospital since 24 weeks am 33 weeks today. You can do it hang in there. You should try to switch it to morning and add it to your early morning routine. I think that's what helped me.

I'm not on lovenox but I do give myself two shots of heprin each day, 12 hours apart, since the day I found out I'm expecting. I do it because I know it's helping the whole process. My shots are more for my health but as a new mom to be, I already feel like I have to protect this little miracle. Hang in there! Just keep in mind each day that passes is one day closer to having your beautiful baby and no more shots!
