Im 34 weeks today and still taking it. Have had severe HG the entire time and it worked miracles. Took zofran for the first 18 weeks and it never helped and couldn't keep food down, within a day of being switched i was able to eat again and finally was able to put on some weight rather than lose it
Yes. Promethazine works great! Ask for the liquid!
I took Promethazine, and it worked miracles for me!!
I was MISERABLE from weeks 6-10 until I was finally able to get on those meds, and it worked! I was finally able to eat for the first time in 4 weeks.. it did make me SUPER sleepy, so I started taking half a pill at a time.. I can't remember my dosage though.. this was about a year ago, but yes..
I took it, I loved it, it's safe, but it did make me sleepy.
good luck & congrats!! ((:
p.s. I'll be taking it during my next and/or all of my future pregnancies!
I know about zofran i get an off brand of it and i dont take it often only had to use it 3 times
Or look in to sea bands, bracelets used for people who get sea sick. They actually have them for pregnant women.
Remember doctors aren't always in your best interest they make money from prescribing medicines as well!!
I don't recommend Zofran, there is a huge lawsuit against them and they are not FDA approved. I had 3 doctors try and give it to me and I refused!!!!
I had all day sickened the first 5 months of my pregnancy, I purchased Prego pops, lollipops for nausea literally are miracle workers! I found them at babies r us. They're natural and worth a shot!
Promethazine help me so much only thing that I didn't like it put me to sleep that's it but it works wonderful
My doctor had me on this and it didnt help me. I was a scared to take it because i thought im harming my baby but my baby is looking to be fine im 17w+3d i now take zofran which helps me better. Crackers, ginger ale and all that was no help. Smelling those pops makes me sick lol but the doctor is not gonna give you something that will harm your baby. So its ok to take the medicine to help ease your sickness.
