can u go into labor without water breaking?

Has anyone gone into labor without there water breaking? I'm 34 weeks already been told I'm threatened pre term labor and have lost my mucus plug but I'm pretty sure I'm having contractions is this possible Or does it mean anything

Thanks ladies the contractions aren't close enough for them to call it full labor so it's bed rest regular checks and putting up with pain for now.

You can. I delivered with out my water breaking. The whole amniotic sack, plasenta, baby and all still in sealed

I had contractions for almost a week and they had to pop my water apparently at 35 weeks.

I went Into labor and was 3 cm dilated by the time I got to the hospital and they still had to break my water.

You sure can go into labour without your water breaking. My water had to be broken at 8 cms dialated!

Only 20% of births have water breaking. Call your doctor.

Yes you can you need to call your doc or go to l&d
