Are there really stretches that can harm baby?

im 11 weeks 5 days ftm. I've heard that I'm not supposed to raise my hands over my head and extend my abdomen. But that's my favorite stretch!!! Is it true that can pop my baby's umbilical cord??? If so what other stretches do I need to avoid?

You just want to be careful with ab stuff, because too much definition can be problematic once your muscles separate.

That's not true. If you look at pregnancy workouts they always do that stretch in the beginning of workouts haha. I workout everyday and all I know I can't do is on my back abs. Most stretches and workouts are healthy for you and baby:)

Thats an old wives tale. You can exercise just like you did before becoming pregnant unless your dr says otherwise but try not to over do it. Stretching and exercise are extremely healthy for you and baby. Keep at it :)
