Are you miserable during your first trimester?

I am so excited to be pregnant. My husband and I were trying and it happened!I am currently about eight weeks and I've just been miserable the last week or so. I feel nauseous 24/7 and throw up a lot. I haven't been able to sleep well, I'm exhausted and have an overall feeling of just being unwell. I'm not really loving being pregnant and that makes me feel horrible. Has anyone else gone through this?

I completely understand that. I have a cold now on top of everything else which just makes me more miserable. You're halfway through though! Is there anything you've tried to help with the sickness?

I had it bad first trimtester then it went away completely. Try iron free prenatals iron can cause morning sickness, also 50mg of B6 daily and adding fresh lemon slices to my water helped a ton! They both are known to relieve nausea.
My midwife and OB suggested protein rich (find a pregnancy safe powder) instead of breakfast. Something about drinking instead of chewing helps nausea and protein helps a ton too. 4 days of trying their tips and I wasn't throwing up anymore and finally enjoyed good again

Thank you so much for the tips! I see my doctor on Thursday so I'm pretty excited to get her input also. I'm glad these things helped you. :]

I've been through it the whole pregnancy. I'm almost at the end thank goodness but I can't even believe I'm even more miserable now. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's not easy and its okay to not like it. I've been so whinny with this pregnancy and I'm always complaining and crying and my husband just says its okay its normal you're pregnant. At least he understands Lol.

I am glad your husband understands. It's hard to feel so miserable when I feel like I should be enjoying it so much. I truly hope it gets a bit easier after the first trimester. You'll get to meet your little one soon!
