I went to my midwives yesterday at 38+2 and she checked me but my cervix is still closed has anyone else experienced this? Are there and home remedies to get it to open? The maybe measured 7lbs 2oz last week and I am worried about her getting to big

Thank you all I like knowing I'm not the only one I have been experiencing pressure but not too severe as for those home remedies I try them all on at least a daily basis

You could always try bouncing on a birthing ball. It puts a little pressure on your cervix so maybe that could help get things moving for you.

I went to my 39 week appt & I'm still 0! I'm praying I go into labor before I have to be induced. As far as trying homw remedies... I don't really think there is anything that's proven to work but you could try sex, walking, spicy food... things like that

A friend of mine went to her appt at 38 weeks 3 days and she wasn't effaced, dilated or anything. Baby was still high. The next day, she felt a lot of pressure. At 38 weeks 5 days she went back to the dr cause the pressure was concerning her and she was %100 effaced and 6cm's. She was actually in labour.
