Not too long. I actually ended up being 20lbs lighter than when I got pregnant. I attribute it to breasfeeding. I couldnt eat fast enough.
Those first few weeks after birth will indicate a lot. The swelling, water and uterine contractions will help you to lose a quick 20+ lbs, especially if you nurse (not sure what that is in kgs). Its usually those last 10-20 that are tougher to get off and dont be surprised if the weight doesnt go back from whence it came!!! After my first I was like, what the heck?! And I had lost all the weight, but it sort of realigned itself elsewhere :(
I breastfed my first baby and dropped the weight really quickly. By 6-8 months i had lost my whole 32 lbs. From the pregnancy plus 10 more lbs! What took the longest was my belly after bring inflated for so long had a flab that i never thought I'd lose. But by a year it was pretty much back to normal again. And don't get rid of your old Jeans when you have lost the weight but they still don't fit. It took about a year for my hips to go back to there normal size, but by then i had given up on my old Jeans and gotten rid of them.
I gave birth on the 15th and have lost 27 lbs so far. Still a bit bloated too, so expecting to lose more. The strange thing is I actually lost weight during pregnancy. After being sick n all, I ended the pregnancy at a loss of 2 lbs.
I was 6 lbs down from pre pregnancy weight at my 6 week check up. I gained 25 lbs during pregnancy. Baby number 3 so I am pretty proud!! Lol!!
