freaking out!!!

So I had back to back iui done about two weeks ago. I was CONVINCED I was pregnant starting about a week after ovulation. My period was due to start on the 31 st but on the 27 th I started what I thought was my period and although I was freaked out about how early it had come ( my cycle is never that short) I came to terms with the fact that the iui had failed and I wasn't pregnant. My mom was in my ear saying some people bleed in early pregnancy and I should test again. So I did and it was still negative. My "period" was pretty much all done by tuesday night, five days as usual. Last night we had our first fire of the year and I helped myself to about 6 beers. Why not im not pregnant right? Well this morning I woke up and felt like I should test again. SUPRISE! Positive. Called the doctor and they had me come in for blood Work and I go again on saturday then we should have some answers. But for now I am freaking out! I just want to know what is going on in my body!! Anybody have any similar stories and have a positive outcome?

Solo a bit of an update. I got my results for the blood tests. My numbers did double...but I feel like they are REALLY low. My first draw was 34 at 3 weeks 6 days and 57 at 4 weeks 1 day. It was only like 40 hours in between so the doctor said they did double.

My Dr thinks I'm crazy, but I knew I was pregnant right away. I stopped my birth control in end of July had a regular period last week in July. Dr told me it would take months for me to get pregnant since I'd been on bc for 9 years. I felt on the 18th of august I was pregnant. Took two test both negative waited a week took another still negative. Didnt get a positive till first week in September. Felt aweful because I had two glasses of wine on labor day, but we are 34 weeks and baby is healthy. So give yourself time, I just knew I was pregnant sometimes you know before the test shows.

I didn't get any pregnancy symptoms until I was around 10 weeks.. everyone is different and also its rare to get a false positive because home pregnancy tests test for a hormone (HCG) that only shows up when you are pregnant.
False negatives are much much more common. So I am no doctor but I'd say you got that positive, you are pregnant! Congratulations! I hope you get that reassurance from your dr( as I am sure you will!) And praying that your pregnancy moves along smoothly and baby is healthy!

Thank you for responding! I am trying to remain calm until I get my blood tests back, its just so hard. I am also trying to not get my hopes up because I dont want to hurt if results are no good, but who am I kidding??? Hopes are up. I just wish I was having some symptoms or something that pointed towards a positive outcome. But all I have right now is some cramping which I know can be normal, but can also be bad :( I just feel so up in the air...

I knew I was pregnant before tests showed positive. I started what I thought was my period at the end of my pill pack.( I was on the pill and I always get my period on the last week... the pill helped regulate my periods)
Well I thought it was weird because I felt something coming out and knew it was my period so I ran to the bathroom and cleaned up.. preparing for it to get heavier. Well it never did! It just went from bright red to pink to brown and within 3 days, just stopped. After that I was convinced that I was pregnant. I know my body and I just felt different.
It took nearly 2 1/2 weeks until I got my first positive pregnancy test. Even went to the dr office twice and negative there the first two times. It drove me crazy! I bought pregnancy tests left and right like every other day and all negative. Finally I have up and talked myself out if the idea that I could be pregnant. Then I got a letter that said congratulations on your pregnancy! I was so confused.. long story short, I go and get one last pregnancy test a few hours after and a big fat positive. I took another a few hours later and another positive. Then I went to the dr again the next day and positive! I am now in my 28th week with a baby girl on the way. :)

Also according to my ultrasound my baby was conceived the same week I thought that I had become pregnant!
